Counties that still need officials or candidates

Every county and county-equivalent in the 2026 Census catalog is counted here. This list shows the ones where we don't yet have the officials or candidates that serve them, so researchers and contributors know where to start.

Officials are current county and local officials serving the county. Candidates are running, declared or elected candidacies on the county's 2026-11-03 ballot. Zero on file does not mean a county has no offices or candidates, and a county with records is not necessarily complete. Figures as of Oct 5, 2026 9:29 PM UTC; they refresh every few minutes.
